ABOUT THE SHE REBELLION
We believe women and girls deserve more than being taught how to fit in.
The She Rebellion exists to challenge outdated ideas about how women and girls are expected to behave, lead, communicate and exist. We know that representation matters!
We create experiences that encourage females to question, take up space and lead with impact.
OUR WORK IS ABOUT
+SELF-LEADERSHIP- Knowing yourself well enough to make choices that are yours.
+CONFIDENCE- Not performing confidence. Building the kind that comes from self-trust.
+VOICE- Being able to communicate, express yourself and take up space.
+WELLBEING- Creating sustainable ways of showing up without sacrificing yourself in the process.
+CREATIVITY- Using creative expression to open conversations that words alone sometimes can't.
+COURAGE- Moving from knowing what you want to do to actually doing something about it.
OUR APPROACH
We don't believe leadership needs to be polished, perfect or traditionally corporate.
We believe good leadership is human.
Our work draws on self-leadership, emotional intelligence, nervous system awareness, coaching strategies, creative practice and experiential learning.
Our facilitation is neuro-affirming, trauma-informed and inclusive.
Most importantly, we create spaces where people can participate without being forced to perform, disclose or conform.
MEET TAO
Tao Kroesche is a multi-award-nominated Self-Leadership Facilitator, Business Coach, Feminist Author and Artist, and the founder of The She Rebellion.
With more than a decade of business experience, Tao is now focused on building her legacy: creating spaces where women and girls can develop the confidence, self-trust and self-leadership to lead differently — and contributing to a stronger, more visible and better-funded female economy.
Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to community, social change and challenging the norms that tell women who they should be, how they should lead and how much space they're allowed to take up. She is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for women, supporting local communities and using her work to contribute to something bigger than herself.
And then there's the other side of Tao.
She's a down-to-earth, chai-drinking, rock-music-blasting, tattoo-collecting, oracle-card-slinging, nap-seeking, chronic business creator and chocolate-ice-cream-loving human who believes you can take your work seriously without taking yourself too seriously.
A proud neuro-spicy ambivert Scorpio with bushranger lineage, a feminist and anti-establishment upbringing, and German, Scottish and Irish heritage, Tao has never been particularly interested in fitting neatly into the expected mould.
Her own life has been a big part of that education. Through decades of navigating anxiety, postnatal depression, neurodivergence, motherhood and divorce, Tao has learned — sometimes the hard way — about resilience, identity, self-trust, boundaries and what it really means to come back to yourself.
Today, you'll usually find her soaking up the sunshine somewhere near the beach, surrounded by her spirited children, creating, coaching, making things, asking uncomfortable questions and occasionally reminding everyone that a nap is, in fact, a legitimate strategy.
THE L.E.A.D FRAMEWORK
Our work and ethos are based on the L.E.A.D Framework, a modern approach to leadership development designed specifically for women and girls.
We believe representation matters!
That's the work.
That's the rebellion.
